I am a veteran of a very negative and discouraging experience with a rather well known cataract treatment center in the Mt. Dora area. After relating my unpleasant experience to a friend of mine, he recommended Dr. Pennachio as an alternative stating that Dr. Pennachio had done his cataract surgery and that he was well pleased with the results as well as the overall atmosphere of the office. I went to Dr. Pennachios office and I was delightfully pleased with the experience. I found the one on one personal care that I was seeking. The office atmosphere is friendly and professional. The support staff is very concerned that you feel comfortable and assured and that all of your questions are answered. They take their time with you and there is no sense of being rushed or handed off to various care givers. I had sent my medical history from the previous office to Dr. Pennachio, so he was right up to speed on my condition and my needs and he quickly explained a plan of treatment and answered all of my questions in a very professional manner. My surgeries went extremely well and as of this writing I am enjoying restored vision and look forward to a continuing relationship with Dr. Pennachio and his office. Bottom line is this. You need to have trust and confidence in your doctor, especially when it comes to something as precious and vital to your life as your vision. Dr. Pennachio is an extremely brilliant physician who deserves that trust and confidence. I highly recommend Dr. Pennachio and his office to anyone seeking quality eye care. He truly is THE BEST.

Dr. Scruggs corrected my husbands droopy eyelids in April of 2018. Office visits with him were thorough, efficient, and humorous. My husbands eyes look great and comments from friends are highly complimentary. Dr. Scruggs is very skilled, presenting a knowledgeable, gentle and friendly demeanor. His surgery center is conveniently located; the staff terrific. My husband elected to only have an upper blepharoplasty this time with Dr. Scruggs; however, a lower bleph is in his future!
