Central Florida Eye Specialists announces the addition of Dr. Tawni Cashon to our team beginning July 6, 2026.
Dr. Cashon is an optometric physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered eye care for patients of all ages. She specializes in comprehensive eye exams, ocular disease management, specialty contact lenses and myopia management, helping patients maintain healthy vision through personalized, evidence-based care.
Patients visiting Dr. Cashon can expect thorough evaluations that assess not only vision, but also overall eye health. She has experience diagnosing and managing conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and dry eye disease, with a strong focus on early detection and long-term eye health.
Dr. Cashon also has advanced experience fitting specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses and orthokeratology lenses, and provides pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients. Her clinical interests include myopia management for children and adolescents using multifocal lenses and atropine therapy.
A graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry, Dr. Cashon has participated in contact lens clinical trials as both a clinical investigator and principal investigator, allowing her to stay at the forefront of advancements in optometric care and bring innovative treatment options to her patients.
Dr. Cashon will see patients in the Eustis office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and in the Clermont office on Thursdays.
